Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a charter?
Once you have reviewed and decided on the type of charter you would like to book you can book directly on this website on the "Book Now" page. A calendar will appear with all our current availability.
What is provided?
Rod / Reels of all kinds will be provided by the Captain. If children are coming be sure to specify and I will bring gear more suitable them. The fishing licenses are provided for all members of the charter. Type 1 adult life jackets will be provided. Waters and sun screen are always available on board.
Is there a bathroom?
Yes Ladies, This boat has a fully functional head. In the effort of keeping it that way I cant stress this enough THE ONLY THING FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET SHOULD BE TOILET PAPER!!! A $250 repair fee will be assessed for a broken macerator pump.
What if the date I would like is not available?
Please contact the Captain (I'll usually get back to you within the hour). We will try to do everything we can to get you on the water but please keep in mind my primary job is a Law Enforcement Officer and coordinating both schedules can be challenging.
What should I bring?
Things to bring include life jackets for children, sunscreen, warm clothing, food, drinks, Dramamine (if needed).
Upon catching a keeper sized fish I will clean the catch for you and also supply zip lock bags for transport home.
How many people can I bring?
The boat can fit four people, in special circumstances a fifth can be accommodated but please discuss with the Captain first.
Where should I meet you for the charter and is there parking?
We will pick you up on the Village Street Dock in Marblehead located at 163 Village Street, Marblehead MA. The dock is at the very end of the street, just before the dock on the left hand side is a parking lot where you may park.
What Forms of payment are accepted?
You can pay for your charter in cash, Venmo or Paypal.
Is tip included?
Tips are greatly appreciated, typically a 15-20% is a customary tip for the Mate/Captain
Do you book shared charters?
As of now, I do not offer shared charters. However, as plans change there may be opportunity (usually short notice) that a slot may become available. If you're interested in one let me know and I can put you on a stand by list for future dates.
Do you provide burials at sea?
I do provide 2 kinds of burials at sea:
The first is an unattended ash scattering at sea which is respectfully overseen by the Captain. This will include photographs of the ceremony, latitude and longitude of burial site, flag flown from that day (which is decided upon by loved ones) and copy of the Environmental Protection Agency burial at sea report form. $450
The second is an attended burial at sea scattering of the ashes. This is a small intimate service for a maximum of 5 passengers. I act only as a transportation vessel for you and your loved ones cremated remains. Weather permitting, I will take you 3 nautical miles out to sea (as dictated by the EPA) where you will set your loved one free. This will also include photographs of the ceremony, latitude and longitude of burial site, flag flown from that day (which is decided upon by loved ones) and copy of the Environmental Protection Agency burial at sea report form. $700
Is it safe to fish during COVID-19?
